Stainless Steel 316L is an extremely-low carbon that minimizes harmful carbide precipitation from welding. I bought 3 spools of 316L (36g38g and .4x.1) and one spool of kanthal ribbon. The wire comes off the spool nice and clean which is fantastic. I found that the ribbon wire is pretty difficult to straighten (as compared to say Kidney Puncher) which is the only reason for 4 stars. I will definitely be purchasing round wire from LV again soon though!
Resistance is higher that the round wire. Careful it will cut the heck of of your finger if you slip when using the wire notch on the spool. Still glad I tried it. 0.8 x 0.1.
