This particular order was different for me from my previous LV Nichrome orders. The 38g I bought (but not the 40) looks and behaves like Kanthal its very weird. Usually when I dry fire or torch Nichrome80 I get lots of color. Blues usually but all shades. This 38g stays grey throughout the entire process. And when wrapped next to other N80 (36g in my last build) you can really tell the difference. The 36 is a very shiny silver color and this 38 from LV is a dull grey. Ive never had Nichrome80 that didnt at least change color a little bit during dry firingtorching. I also noticed that the resistance is a bit higher than usual. There are a lot of variables though build specs may be slightly different than previous builds etc.. so I cant be 100 sure of the cause unless I tested the wire which I cant do. The 40g is fine though resistance as expected colors also as expected. I bought another spool of 38 with this one so Ill try that one soon to see if maybe this was just an issue with this one spool. Ive never had any issues with LV N80 before this.
As expected
Ive been buying the twisted messes 36ga n80 for awhile but came here for the cheaper price. The quality gives the exact same flavor and production when claptoning with it. Only con Id say is the spool holder is too small .
I ordered 50 of 26g nichrome 80 for only 5!! And not only was it cheap but it was at my door in just a couple of days! These guys are the epitome of customer service! Customer for life right here!!!
