    I dont know why I didnt order more of this stuff in round wire because the ribbon is awesome. Ill fix that next time I need to place an order.

Description

Every WIREOPTIM spool of wire is precision wound via hands-off computerized machines, perfectly tensioned, and handled with care in a clean environment to ensure only the highest quality product lands in your hands. Say goodbye to tangles, oil, skin salts, and other debris or contaminants. Nichrome 90 is an alloy consisting of 90% Nickel, and 10% Chromium. It is ideally suited as a resistance wire heating alloy, with lower resistance than that of Nichrome 80 due to it's slightly higher nickel content. It has a high melting point and fantastic resistance to high temperature oxidation. This alloy offers superior service life compared to other Nichrome wire types due to the excellent adhesion properties of its surface oxide. Typical applications include:

Industrial:

  • Heating element for furnaces and many consumer appliances like cookers, toasters, kilns, water heaters, flat irons, soldering irons
  • Foam / polystyrene cutting
  • Ceramic working to assist internal support structure
  • Manufacturing of motorcycle silencers
  • Thermocouple positive end
  • Detecting presence of trace metals in flames
