Ok so theres not a whole lot of difference in N80 from one vendor to another its all N80. That being said some spools have round cutouts for stowing the loose ends and some have a slot. Personally I prefer the slots which these spools have. I would prefer two slots instead of just one but not a big deal. Overall its what I expect from a spool of wire clean no tangles and neatly wrapped. I use lot of fused clapton and havent had any issues wrapping 3638 or 40 gauge directly from 250 or 500 spools.

Ive used A LOT LOT LOT of different wires. All the specialty wires you can name and Im not saying that theyre not goodbecause theyre great! Im just gonna sau that while those other wires are great so are LV wireat a fraction of the cost. KP sells my usual wire 20g ni80 and my usual build is a dua l5 wrap 20g ni80 3mm 0.08 ohms.its my favorite build on a tube mech. Now Kidney Puncher has awesome wire but I have to fiddle with it much more than I want to and thats why I prefer Lightning Vapes. It takes one forth the time to get the hot spots out of all my ni80 builds and this makes me happy. I can tell the difference when building on this wire. Its just so damn consistent. Price is great for the amount of wire you get too. Go compare yourself and you will see. Believe me I use to pay 25 plus for 15ft of SUPER CLOUD CHASING EXTREME CUMULONIMBUS ROOM FILLER wire and while its all great performing wire I just cant justify paying 400 percent more for it. First time I threw my usual 20g nichrome build on my KennedyBroadside combo after using stuff like anarchist comp wire for so long i knew I had a winner in Lightning Vapes. I noticed more and more people using nichrome wire so i figured Id try it out. Its great! You can get the resistance down easier for a tube mech build and have more wraps vs kanthal and we all know that more surface area means better flavor and vapor. If you watch the well known YouTube builders most of them use nichrome outside wraps and cores. The Lightning Vapes wire is very good wire that is prices very well and the quality of the wire is exceptional! I made fused clapton wire and coils using the 26 and 38 gauge wires and the turned out perfect. I dont think I will ever buy premade coils again. This was my first purchase of wire at Lightning Vapes and Im thoroughly pleased with the gear I received. I got everything from 20g down to 40g and the quality is excellent all around. The wire is free from any defects which might lead to premature wire failure when making even the smallest of Claptons under fair amounts of tension. Even the 40g is remarkably durable. If I had one point of criticism the wire lock where you fasten the loose end of the wire when not in use drives me fucking insane. Way too unreliable as it does a subpar job of performing the simple task of just holding the wire. I cant even count how many times the wire just basically slid out of the slit you crimp it into (sometimes when the spool is just sitting there and Im not even touching it) resulting in spontaneous uncoilage maximus which is just a giant (and unnecessary pain in the ass). To be fair this primarily affects the thinner gauges 36g and up but still. There must be a better way of doing this. Spontaneous Food for thought…have you ever considered using those retentioncutter clips that they use on dental floss dispensers? Obviously those wont do shit for the thicker gauges but the thin stuff say 34g and up? I imagine that would work a treat AND you save yourself the need to reach for the scissorscutters when working with thinner wire. The only other thing Id love to see are some even higher gauges of wire. In some of the more intense modern builds 46g wire is not uncommon and personally Id even be interested in purchasing 48 and 50g wires (a fella can dream cant he? o) Anyways thanks for a great product this certainly wont be my last order at Lightning Vapes.

I got this type of wire because I like to experiment with different types of builds. I saw some color pictures on instagram and decided I wanted to try it. I also know that it has a much faster ramp up time which is another reason I needed it. I build mainly Clapton wires and they have a rediculously slow ramp time. I love the wire! I ordered 600 feet of wire. A couple rolls of Nichrome N80 and the rest was Kanthal. The ribbon wire I got wasnt spooled correctly so I had to waste the first 10 feet of it so wasnt happy about that to begin with. Got over it and used the rest. I went to do a fused clapton with 28 gauge core wire and 32 gauge around it. Within 3 feet fresh off the spool there was two kinks so had to waste that. This particular order was different for me from my previous LV Nichrome orders. The 38g I bought (but not the 40) looks and behaves like Kanthal its very weird. Usually when I dry fire or torch Nichrome80 I get lots of color. Blues usually but all shades. This 38g stays grey throughout the entire process. And when wrapped next to other N80 (36g in my last build) you can really tell the difference. The 36 is a very shiny silver color and this 38 from LV is a dull grey. Ive never had Nichrome80 that didnt at least change color a little bit during dry firingtorching. I also noticed that the resistance is a bit higher than usual. There are a lot of variables though build specs may be slightly different than previous builds etc.. so I cant be 100 sure of the cause unless I tested the wire which I cant do. The 40g is fine though resistance as expected colors also as expected. I bought another spool of 38 with this one so Ill try that one soon to see if maybe this was just an issue with this one spool. Ive never had any issues with LV N80 before this.

I bought this to use for some fused and staggered claptons and in my opinion the builds are much easier when you use nichrome instead of kanthal. The wire came clean with no oil or dirt that i could notice. (I washed it anyway just to be safe) Its packaged in your standard spool which are in my opinion a little annoying because if your dealing with a lower gauge springy wire and you accidentally let it loose on the spool it makes a MESS of tangled wire. Besides that the products came exactly as advertised and functioned just like they are supposed to. You cant beat this for the price and I will definitely order my wire from here again.

I have used NiChrome 60 before and this was my first shot of 80. My impressions are simple and I hope it helps somone decide which wire to get. It lasts the shortest time of all 3 (kanthal ni60 ni80) but it absolutely rips for the time it lasts. It also has the lowest resistance. It is also the softest and very easy to work with. the negatives are You have to watch your buildsthe resistance is considerably lower I got like 35 days off a build before I notice a drop off. It will last much longer if you dont mind the slight dropoff. As far as Lightning Vapes they were awsome quick to ship out quick to arrrive the spool was nicely wrapped and it excatly as I expected.

The new spools are awesome..the 26 gauge n80 is on a spool of lighter plastic making it super easy to keep spooled properly. I did a build today combining all 24 26 and 28 1 strand of each twisted and spiraled it came out to .13 ohm dual coil 6 wraps.check out pics of the quality wire on my ig kaileykhristian the wire oxidizes like a1 nichrome it seems like with the a1 (anarchist by ohmboyoc) coming out lightning vapes has purified the nichrome 80 i also ordered 500 fett of 34gauge kanthal for claptons i would love to see 36 gauge kanthal or nichrome please. Since the nichrome wire resists less than kanthal super low resistance builds are possible with larger coils. Right now my favorite is a 2 strand fused Clapton. The Clapton coils hold a ton of juice and I find 56 wraps does the trick nicely resisting less than .3 on my Ipv3 pushing 5060 watts. Ill probably dual coil it soon.
